College Scholarships

Applications for the College Scholarship Program are currently closed and will open in April, 2024.

All GMGSF Scholarships are awarded on a case by case basis to families and students that demonstrate financial need.

Note: Only US based applicants are eligible for a GMGSF college scholarships at this time.

College Scholarship overview

• Scholarship Grant Amount: $10,000 ($2,500/yr)

• Additional Support:

  • Industry Mentorship

  • Internship Placement Support

  • Career-readiness and Job Placement Support

• Time frame: Four years. Year 5 renewal on a case by case basis.

• Recipients must meet the following ongoing criteria to receive each subsequent installment: 

  • (renewal): Continued enrollment and progress in games degree/program

  • Continued participation in mentorship and career-readiness programs offered

  • Provide testimonial / review / feedback on request

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Graduating high school students

• Based in US only

• Identifies as a woman or non-binary person

• Accepted to an undergraduate program at an accredited four year college or university for Fall 2024

• Interest in pursuing a degree in field related to video game development

• In need of financial assistance to attend college

  • Complete your FAFSA application

  • Provide proof of acceptance into a US college
