College Scholarships
Applications for the 2024 College Scholarship Program are open through May 31st!
We’re now accepting applications for the 2024 College Scholarship Program! If you’re a high school senior starting a formal degree in a game development or related field this fall, the GMGSF College Scholarship is for you!
This year’s college scholarships are sponsored by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Take 2 and Humble Bundle.
The GMGSF scholarship aims to provide our recipients the support needed to pursue a games degree and open up future career pathways in the industry. To learn more about the program see the criteria and eligibility rules below.
Note: Only US based applicants are eligible for a GMGSF college scholarships at this time. Read the full list of eligibility criteria below.
All GMGSF Scholarships are awarded on a case by case basis to families and students that demonstrate financial need. Meet the 2023 Scholarship Recipients here!
College Scholarship overview
Scholarship Grant Amount: $10,000; awarded as $2,500 per year upon successful completion of credits for 4 years

Career-readiness and Job Placement Support
Grant Duration: Four years (Subject to Recipient’s Continued Eligibility). Year 5 renewal on a case by case basis.
Continued Eligibility Requirements:
Recipients must meet the following ongoing criteria to receive each subsequent installment:
(renewal): Continued enrollment and progress in games degree/program
Continued participation in mentorship and career-readiness programs offered
Provide testimonial / review / feedback on request
Eligibility
To be eligible you must meet the following criteria:
Based in US only
Identify as a woman or non-binary person
Graduating High School before Fall 2024
Accepted to an undergraduate program at an accredited four year college or university for Fall 2024
Interest in pursuing a degree in field related to video game development
In need of financial assistance to attend college:
Complete your FAFSA application
Provide proof of acceptance into a US college
